Every MLB Stadium with Potential Splash Hits

There’s something special about seeing a homerun fly over the right field seats into McCovey Cove in San Francisco, or an O’neil Cruz moon shot that lands in the Allegheny in Pittsburgh. Forgot that O’neil Cruz is 79 inches tall wow. While these are the two main spots that come to mind for the infamous “splash hits” there are a couple other hidden gems in Major League Baseball, that you may not think of right away, where a baseball has a chance to land in water.

Going to start at number 3 because we already mentioned PNC and Oracle. I’ll always remember the Giants stadium as AT&T Park though.

3. Chase Field - Diamondbacks

This looks like such a cool place to take in a ball game. I love the seats in the pool so you can post up and just watch the snakes. Maybe see a Corbin Caroll home run robbery in your face. Or catch a Ketel Marte bomb in the hot tub. Although, I don't know if the hot tub is too practical considering they’re in Phoenix. Are you taking your glove in the pool, no way right? A homerun ball would land right in the water anyway then at that point you’d have to fight underwater for it with whoever else is in that thing.

4. Kauffman Stadium - Royals

Not a massive body of water, not even a swimmable water basin, but very cool nonetheless. The K has a beautiful water fountain display in the outfield that is prone to some splash hits. I had no idea it was actually this big until seeing that picture. The videos of it in action are beautiful. Very underrated.

5. Great American Ballpark - Reds

This would take a moonshot. By my estimation it would be like 2 football fields or 3 hockey rinks. It hasn’t happened yet but who knows maybe Elly can get a hold of one out there. That nautical strip is actually the Ohio River. It's connected to the Allegheny so a ball that goes out in PNC could eventually end up here. This also made me realize that so many bodies of water are connected so a homerun ball could in theory end up in like Haiti.

6. The Trop - Rays

I’m obsessed with this thing. I had to add it even though they’re not playing there this season. When they blow this stadium to smithereens in the next couple years I hope they safely transport each ray to the new stadium and give them a bigger tank that's even closer to the field. Maybe back behind second base.
